Tea Tree Oil, also known as Melaleuca alternifoliais, is an essential oil that has been around for quite a while but not until the past decade has its healing benefits been catching on like wildfire. Tea Tree has such a diversity of usefulness that’s both practical and convenient that you’ll never want to live without it again.
Acne Treatment - One of the most common uses for tea tree oil today is in skin care products, as it is considered one of the most effective home remedies for acne. One study found tea tree oil to be just as effective as benzoyl peroxide, but without the associated negative side effects that many people experience including red, dried and peeling skin.
Hair Care - Tea tree oil has proven very beneficial for the health of your hair and scalp. Like coconut oil for hair, tea tree oil has the ability to soothe dry flaking skin, remove dandruff and even can be used for the treatment of lice.
Cleaning Purposes - Another fantastic way to use tea tree oil is as a household cleaner. Tea tree oil has powerful antimicrobial properties and can kill off bad bacteria in your home.
Psoriasis and Eczema - Tea tree oil can help relieve any type of skin inflammation, including being used as a natural eczema treatment and for reducing psoriasis.
Tea Tree Oil Deodorant - Another great reason to use tea tree oil is to eliminate body odour. Tea tree oil has antimicrobial properties that destroy the bacteria on your skin that causes body odour. Also, if your kids play sports or if you’re a runner, you can add tea tree oil to your shoes and sports gear to keep them smelling fresh.
Infections and Cuts - Tea tree oil mixed with lavender essential oil is the perfect ingredient in a homemade wound ointment. Make sure to clean a cut first with water and hydrogen peroxide if necessary, then put on tea tree oil and cover with a bandage to help fight off infections.
For Healthy Skin - Razor burns and ingrown hair can become quite uncomfortable and painful if not treated properly. To cure it, after shaving dab a few drops of tea tree essential oil on a piece of cotton and apply on the infected areas. This will provide a soothing sensation to your skin.
Cures Dry Skin - Tea tree oil is a good cure for dry skin. Simply add 5 spoons of tea tree oil to one spoon of almond oil and massage it gently onto your skin. Leave it on for some time and bathe normally. Regular use will help you keep your skin hydrated for a longer time. It also leaves your skin feeling soft, supple and glowing.
Dry scalp - Tea tree oil is very good for dry scalp. It moisturises by nourishing your scalp and your hair really well. It clears all blockages in the pores. Mix it with any carrier oil like jojoba oil and massage gently onto your scalp for 10-15 minutes. Leave it on for some time and wash thoroughly.
For Cleaning - Tea tree oil can be used as an all-purpose cleaner, thus can be used to clean the floors, tiles, dishwashing, mats, laundry etc. For this mix two drops of the oil in a cup of water and use it in a spray bottle. You can spray this over your laundry to make it smell fresh and clean.

Are your products organic / natural?
Our products combine the power of naturally occurring and advanced science ingredients that are simple to use, highly effective, non-toxic, non-irritating, and absolutely cruelty-free. We do not use aggressive, irritating ingredients. Beyond this, we do not like labels such as ‘organic,’ ‘natural’ or ‘clean,’ which have no consistent definition and tell you nothing about a product’s safety or efficacy. We are committed to bringing you the very best ingredient science and being certified “organic” does not always yield the best ingredient.
Do your products contain fragrance?
Generally not, but with limited exceptions. “Fragrance,” when used in our products like the ANTI-AGING BODY CREAM, is selected for its pleasant scent but also for its proven tolerability. Most fragrances contain allergic substances, or “allergens”: if present, it is compulsory to state this on the label, even if the percentage contained is minimal. Where possible, we tend to use fragrances which do not contain allergens and which should therefore give rise to fewer problems. When fragrance is present in a our product, is indicated in the list of ingredients as PARFUM or FRAGRANCE.
Is there talc in any of your products?
The minerals that are used to produce talc can contain asbestos, which is why there are legitimate concerns about its potential effect on our health. The talc used in our ENZYME CLEANSER, BABY BUM CREAM and tinted CLARIFYING SPOT TREATMENTS is NOT made of minerals that contain asbestos and thus is not carcinogenic and completely safe. The talc we use is periodically and consistently reviewed by independent laboratories.
What is the shelf life of my product?
All beauty products need to be used by a certain period. This is known as the 'period after opening' and can be easily identified by the PAO symbol. The symbol can be recognised as the shape of an opened jar, and will have a number inside; 9M will indicate 9 months, 12M is 12 months, and 36M is 36 months. Once opened the product should be used in this period, as after this time the quality of the product will deteriorate.
